I just broke 100 miles running since I started keeping track last fall. Ran 5k in 54:50 tonight and walked the rest.

Found this out on the web and thought it would be helpful here. Have a look.

Workout Log & Update

Had a bad head cold last 2 days. Felt much better today. Got my truck back and started ripping out the old interior. Its cold and rainy and I worked in it maybe 2 hours. I am starting to feel the benefits from the mild exercise. My mood is better and overall I really feel good!

Tonight I did sprints 4-6 mph for 1-2 mins then walk at a 2mph for a couple mins and back up to a sprint. Its part of the conditioning program I found. Tonights "jog" was 2.0 miles and 36 minutes. I probably could have pushed a bit harder but I dont need another injury going too fast again.

Here is my updated log for today:

Hey whats up???

Hey there! Well I am back on the path so to speak. From my last entry we decided to take the house off the market. This meant I could move all of my exercise equipment back inside. Its been in the house now about   2 weeks. In that time I went from running a small 1.2 miles back up to a full 5k. My weight has been coming off more now and in the last 3 days I have lost 2.2 pounds. Because I sat most of the winter I need to burn off 75 pounds before June 30 (my birthday). It can be done!

I have not been blogging because I decided last fall to make a leap into a new sector of my business. I am building (from scratch) a food truck.  It is out getting a new suspension and when it returns it will be a full time job welding and building the interior. It doesn't have much to do with weight loss other than its going to be alot of manual labor for at least a month and a half. So if I am not running I can expect to at least be working hard. I will try to find more time to blog. It seems over the winter this site has picked up a great deal. That is cool and inspiring to me!

Thanks for sticking with me.

Here is a mockup I did of my food truck (Its still in the rough stages).

I'm BACK! (again)

Ok well its been a crazy 4 months. We decided to sell our house. We live in a nice quiet neighborhood with the best school system in the whole state. We thought ( and our realtor advised) we shouldnt be on the market too long coming in so much under appraisal. So we put all of the exercise equipment out in the garage and proceeded to bury it for what we assumed to be a 2-3 week stint. Here we are 4 months later and I have not exercised in that whole time!

So I gained back 20 pounds. For Christmas my wife bought me a 2 month membership to the local Y. I went there today expecting that I might be a bit out of shape... wow was I ever.

I had been running 4 miles in about 50 minutes. Today I barely did 1.5 miles. Also I felt like the fat guy making new years resolutions on a treadmill stereotype the whole time I was in there. Its not a new years resolution to me. Its merely a continuation of what I started 6 months ago.

The nice part is they have a child care center that watches my daughter for the whole time I am working out. This is better than when I worked out at home for sure.

Next step on the journey complete... more to go!
